Find your future with us.The Boeing Product & Services Safety (P&SS) organization is seeking an Experienced (Level 3) or Lead (Level 4) Airworthiness & Regulatory Certification Engineer to join the International Type Validation Team within Regulatory Administration and Airworthiness in Everett, WAThis key role will support the compliance of International Type Validation for production programs. As a crucial member of this team, you will collaborate with the Federal Aviation Administration and regulators worldwide to validate Boeing Commercial aircraft. This position offers a chance to make a significant global impact and contribute to Boeing's extensive international presence. You'll be responsible for coordinating with global regulators, addressing technical challenges related to Type Validation, and preparing technical applications for regulatory authorities. The role provides excellent opportunities for professional growth and development, allowing you to tackle high-impact challenges and gain valuable knowledge in international validation.A successful candidate should be prepared to travel internationally up to 10% of the time for meetings with regulatory authorities. They will also have certification experience as well as experience in the development and execution of project and process planning, implementing policies and procedures.The successful candidate is a high-performing individual contributor who is seeking to develop Lead experience or a current Team Lead seeking to expand their breadth by working with global regulators in Commercial AviationPrimary responsibilities: Provides technical guidance and training relative to complex safety and airworthiness matters.Collaborate and coordinate with the Federal Aviation Administration and foreign regulatory agencies to successfully execute international type validation projects.Navigate through various regulatory processes to identify effective solutions for complex problems, while providing guidance to all airplane programs.Ensure regulator actions are successfully captured, implemented, and closed in a timely mannerCommunicate airplane validation risks across all models effectively.Define and communicate validation task priorities to both internal and external stakeholders.Lead and facilitate discussions with the FAA, foreign regulatory agencies, and airplane program leadersIntegrate with airplane programs to incorporate international regulator requirements into technical applications.Draft technical applications to support type validationBasic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer scienceLevel 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceLevel 4: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years of experience in a role developing, leading, and executing projects and utilizing project processes / skillsAbility and willingness to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationallyPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):9+ years of experience with designing and implementing policies and proceduresExperience with aircraft design, certification, integration, or related fieldExperience in FAA certification or airworthinessExperience with airplane safety and certification processesExperience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reportsAbility to gain trust of team and guide their careersDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
