This role is for someone who can take control, coordinate subs, solve problems, and make sure the job gets done right — safely, on schedule, and per plans What You'll Be DoingRun day-to-day job-site operations and be the on-site face of CrossTown Design BuildPlan the work, manage the schedule, and keep crews and subcontractors on trackReview scopes, drawings, and budgets to catch issues before they become problemsCoordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectionsHold subcontractors accountable to contracts, schedules, and quality standardsTrack progress, manpower, and materials to keep the job movingCommunicate clearly with clients, project managers, and field teamsIdentify and solve field issues related to existing conditions or design conflictsManage punch lists and closeoutMaintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all timesWhat We're Looking ForCommercial construction experience30,000 SF Retail renovation experienceStrong ability to read and understand construction drawings for all tradesSomeone willing to go above and beyond to make the client happyComfortable leading crews and subcontractors in a fast-paced environmentTakes full ownership of the job — problems includedHigh standards for quality and craftsmanshipClear communicator who keeps everyone informedCommunicate with PM and PE in officeTools & SkillsExperience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and MS ProjectStrong leadership and decision-making skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet tight schedulesMultilingual skills are a plusCompany DescriptionCrossTown Design + Build is a national commercial General Contractor based in the Chicago area that focuses on private construction projects.
