About the Role
Improvix Technologies is seeking a SME Software Developer / Dynamics 365 CRM Developer to support a Department of State program focused on enterprise application modernization, Dynamics 365 CRM development, Power Platform solutions and custom software development.
This role will support the design, development, enhancement and maintenance of mission-critical federal applications, with a strong emphasis on Dynamics 365 CRM, Power Apps, Power Automate, C#, JavaScript, SQL Server and enterprise system integrations. The ideal candidate will bring senior-level hands-on development experience, strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to work closely with business analysts, product owners, testers and technical teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions in a federal environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain enterprise solutions within Dynamics 365 CRM and the Microsoft Power Platform
Configure custom entities, forms, views, business rules, workflows and CRM security models
Develop CRM plugins, JavaScript web resources and custom business logic using C#, JavaScript and the Dynamics CRM SDK
Build and maintain Power Apps and Power Automate workflows to support business process automation
Develop and enhance custom applications using .NET, ASP.NET, Web API, C#, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and related technologies
Integrate Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform solutions with external systems using REST APIs, OData, JSON, XML and web services
Support SQL Server database development, including stored procedures, views, triggers, data queries and reporting support
Assist with data migration, system modernization and application enhancement initiatives
Support automated notifications, workflow processes and system-triggered business logic
Troubleshoot application issues, support production systems and implement enhancements based on user and stakeholder needs
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation and status updates
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, document technical solutions and deliver high-quality software
Required Qualifications
10+ years of software development experience
Hands-on experience developing and supporting Dynamics 365 CRM solutions
Experience with Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate
Strong development experience with C#, JavaScript, .NET, ASP.NET, Web API or similar Microsoft technologies
Experience developing CRM plugins, JavaScript web resources, custom entities, forms, views, workflows and security roles
Experience integrating enterprise applications using REST APIs, OData, JSON, XML and related integration methods
Strong SQL Server experience, including database development, stored procedures, views, triggers and reporting queries
Experience supporting enterprise application modernization or enhancement initiatives
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders and federal clients
U.S. citizenship required
Active Secret clearance required
Preferred Skills
Department of State or federal agency experience
Experience with Dynamics 365 CRM on-premises or hybrid enterprise environments
Experience with Power BI, SSRS, Crystal Reports or other reporting tools
Experience with Azure DevOps, TFS or similar development tracking tools
Experience with ETL, SSIS, Pentaho Kettle or database migration projects
Experience with SharePoint or ServiceNow integrations
Familiarity with Active Directory, IIS, Windows Server, Linux or Unix environments
Experience supporting grants management, incident management, refugee management or other federal enterprise systems
