Grant Coordinator - Foundation for Allen Schools (26-27 School Year)

Actively pursue and support grant research and opportunities for the District and Foundation. Dynamic, self-directed leader with a strong track record in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, donor cultivation, and community engagement. Lead all Foundation activities in collaboration with Foundation Board of Directors. Oversee grant strategy and fundraising initiatives. Half of work responsibilities will be directly related to District and other half directly to the Foundation. Work for the District will be based on skill set and professional experience.Qualifications:Education/Certification:Bachelor's degree required; minimum 5 years in nonprofit sector, preferred, Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), preferredSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Ability to coordinate multiple projects/programs and meet multiple deadlinesKnowledge of nonprofit fundraising, donor stewardship, and community partnership developmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills; social media/marketing experienceWorking knowledge of grant strategy/grant writingExperience:Experience in research and submitting grants, preferably in the field of educationExperience with donor databases and financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Bloomerang, or similar platforms)Strong financial acumen, including budget oversight and working knowledge of investmentMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Cultivate and steward strong relationships with the District, individual donors, families, corporations, foundations, and community partnersActively research additional funding sources and pursue grant opportunities for Allen ISDAssist employees in training, researching, and preparing grant applicationsProvide strategic leadership to advance the Foundation's mission and fundraising goals; partner with the board to develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and key initiatives; support effective governance and informed decision-makingSupport the District in recruiting and retaining strategic business partnerships that support students andAssist the District in planning and hosting community outreachLead all fundraising/development efforts through diversified revenue streams, including annual giving, major gifts, corporate partnerships, endowment growth, and signature eventsEnsure sound fiscal management, accountability, and transparency in partnership with financial advisors, auditors, and the board's finance committee to ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirementsBuild and maintain strong partnerships with Allen ISD leadership, city officials, business leaders, and community organizationsLead, mentor, and support staff while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellenceEnsure effective administration of scholarships, classroom grants, and programmatic initiatives including evaluation of program outcomesIdentify opportunities to expand or innovate programs that address evolving educational and workforce needsReport grant application results to the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources to be shared with SuperintendentPrepare and present annual report to the Foundation Board of DirectorsParticipate in professional organizations related to grant writing and community outreachPerform other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities:Supervises Foundation staff supporting Allen ISD.Customer Care Skills:Provide professional communication with donors, volunteers, students, parents, community members, staff and other professionals at all timesUse proper phone etiquette at all times, speaking slowly and Take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staffEnsure superior customer care skills are used via eye contact, facial expressions, voice inflections, body language, and an attitude of "going the extra mile" for othersEnsure all requests for information are dealt with in an appropriate timeframeCreate and maintain a welcoming, service-oriented environment toward all internal and external customersMental Demands/Physical Demands:Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals.Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twistingMotion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reachingLifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; frequent districtwide travel; occasional statewide travel and out-of-state travelMental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stressSalary:Pay Grade PG03, $374.66 - $442.36 daily rate, commensurate with experience according to District salary schedule.Days:
