Professional Caregiver
Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in various settings, including homes, group homes, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a genuine desire to enhance the quality of life for those they serve. Caregivers play a vital role in assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities include:
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status.
Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary needs.
Medication reminders
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning and organizing living spaces.
Assist with mobility needs using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
Provide companionship through engaging conversations, recreational activities, and emotional support to combat loneliness and promote mental health.
Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, or social outings, ensuring safe transportation (valid driver's license, clean driving record and auto insurance required)
Monitor for changes in client condition and report any concerns promptly to supervisors or family members.
Respond to emergencies calmly and effectively, including administering first aid or CPR when needed.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations and company policies.
Experience
Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, hospice care, or long-term care is preferred.
Familiarity with first aid and CPR techniques is highly desirable.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old.
Current TB test (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Clean background check and drug screening required.
Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation.
Ability to offer both physical and emotional support.
Demonstrate empathy, patience, and compassion
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
