Our work environment includes: On-the-job training Growth opportunities Commitment to excellence Commitment to safety Responsibilities: · Taking lumber from saws and putting away in warehouse. · Taking pallets from Pallet Builders and putting away or loading on trailer. · Monitoring quality of lumber / pallets being taken out. · Helping to load trailers as needed. · Taking out full dumpsters / making sure saw lines have what they need to operate. · Keeping the main shop floor clean and organized. · Work with team to keep warehouse clean and organized. ·Forklift - responsible to make sure it is lightly cleaned at end of each shift / washed off each Friday. · Help monitor inventory levels of nails/banding. · Keeping cutstock organized and in it's proper places. · Coordinate with crew leaders (Pendu/Keystone/Small Saws/Handnailing) to make sure everyone has what they need. Requirements for Role: Required: · Prior experience driving a forklift (or similar equipment) is required. · Must be highly proficient in neatness and organization. · Ability to multi-task effectively and solve problems/make decisions quickly. · Proficiency with basic math is required. · Ability to communicate with and work well together with other crew members and crew leaders. · Self-motivated, able to handle high pressure situations calmly and professionally and must have a high attention to detail and ability to stay engaged in the tasks at hand. · Willingness to work overtime as needed. Expected Compensation: $20+/hour; Pay negotiable, based on experience. This is not an offer of employment. The tryout provides an opportunity for applicants to better understand the environment, job tasks, team dynamic and performance expectations. Applicants will be compensated for their time during the job tryout. Every applicant will not progress through the entire interview process. Only applicants identified as most qualified will be called to the next stage of the interview process.
