Childcare Staff-Summer Full-Time

Qualifications:High school graduate or GED, and at least 18 years of age. Must have interest in and ability to work and relate well with infants and children as well as family and co-workers. Knowledge of facility policies and in-service requirements, and attend staff meetings. Knowledge of indications, contraindications, and techniques for administering first aid. Continually increase knowledge in the field of childhood education and development and be able to meet the requirements of the licensing agency. Key Responsibilities:Plan and implement curriculum for the class according to the policies of the child care center, as set forth by the director. Consider individual children in relationship to culture and socioeconomic background. Treat children with dignity and respect. Be responsible for the appearance, décor, and learning environment of the classroom. Assume joint responsibilities of housekeeping in the center. Implement methods of establishing a positive liaison with the parents of the children. Be present at parent conferences on children's adjustment and behavior in the child care center.
