SECOND Shift Coordinator/Recovery Support (PART TIME)
Wednesday through Friday 2pm-10pm (24 hrs/week)
*OPTIONS: could also be a full time position Mon-Friday or Wed-Fri plus every other weekend*
We are a faith-based residential, substance abuse recovery program for women.
We have a small team and desire to use each staff member to the best of their abilities. Below is a general job description. It may be adjusted as we see your strengths and weaknesses. We want you to shine and thrive.
You will be running the shift on your own for 6 of your 8 hrs each day. We need a self-motivated leader.
Residential Program Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor daily resident activities to facilitate accountability, according to the Rose Garden Resident’s handbook.
Provide transportation to residents to 12 step meetings using company van.
Provide accountability for sobriety through random searches and by administering monitored urine drug tests or breathalyzer tests. (You will be the only person on shift, so this task requires a woman for this position.)
Provide leadership and be available for emotional support, encouragement, and wise Biblical counsel of residents. Facilitate residents to have a solution-oriented approach to concerns.
Keep records and supplies up to date and organized.
Create and implement organizational strategies when a solution is needed.
Computer usage is necessary. You will use Google Docs, spreadsheets, scanning software, and will input data into a database.
Interact with Rose Garden constituents by phone, in person, and through written forms of communication (email and letters.)
Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
Work with the Executive Director to ensure a house and work culture is consistent with the Rose Garden mission statement.
Assist with minor maintenance of both recovery and graduate home. (Change furnace filters, change a light bulb, or assist women with chore knowledge. Training will be provided. Volunteers or paid contractors take care of larger projects.)
Light cleaning of staff areas may be required.
Promote the Rose Garden program to potential applicants.
Conduct walkthroughs of property, overseeing house supplies and reporting all maintenance issues to the Director.
Host resident house meetings as needed.
Attend Bi-Weekly Staff Meetings.
Consults with the Director about disciplinary actions.
*If you have your own recovery story, the position requires three years of sobriety.
Benefits: Meals are included while on shift. You are paid for your time during breaks and meals. We have a team environment where each staff member's voice is heard and needs are considered if adjustments need to be made.
