REPORTS TO: Supervising Cook
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
COMPENSATION: $23.00-$25.00

Position Summary: The Storekeeper/Driver is responsible for delivering product across several locations and receiving, storing, inventorying.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods
Pack and load products onto vehicles according to company’s specifications
Maintain ongoing communication with Supervising Staff and Lead Cook
Maintain organization and cleanliness of vehicle.
Assist in the cleaning the food production areas in the kitchen areas as necessary.
Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.
Responsible for receiving deliveries by following the current procedures when instructed
Responsible for help maintaining the organization of the inventory
Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Responsible for the receiving, storing, and issuing food, beverage, and products used by the kitchen
Ensures requisitions are prepared and delivered in a timely manner and in accordance with requisition timetable
Ensures appropriate FIFO rotation is in place and report any issue to the Supervising Cook
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience:
Minimum high graduate or equivalent
At least 3 years of related experience
Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, etc.)
Food handlers (or willing to obtain one upon hire which will be scheduled and paid for by the organization)
Additional Requirements:
Valid driver’s license
At least 21 years of age
Ability to operate vehicle in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
Good driving record with no traffic violations
Previous driving/delivery experience is required as is a general knowledge of San Diego County freeways and cities.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a kitchen environment, housed with equipment such as an oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, coffee machine, steamer, mixer and chef’s knives. The employee is frequently exposed to heat steam, fire and noise.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position non-exempt position scheduled at 40 hours a week. Includes weekends.
Travel:
Delivery routes include Kitchens for Good sites, Youth Transition Center, and East Mesa Juvenile Detention Center.
Background checks:
Must undergo Criminal background clearance through the Probation (backgrounds), State of California Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Drug screen and Tuberculosis Testing.
