This is an option where the incumbent could work remotely.About The PositionThe Advanced Technologies Group (ATG) within Astec Digital is dedicated to advancing innovation through simulation, research and development, machine learning, and analytics. The simulation engineer is responsible for performing computer-aided engineering (CAE) simulations to support new product development and ongoing engineering initiatives.The role emphasizes collaboration, cross-functional teamwork, and the transfer of technical expertise across Astec’s engineering teams. The simulation engineer is expected to develop strong proficiency in CAE methodologies—including model building, analysis, and reporting—using tools such as discrete element method (DEM), multi-body dynamics (MBD), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). These techniques are applied to analyze complex systems, optimize product performance, reduce costs, and shorten time to market.ATG promotes the adoption and effective use of simulation technology at Astec sites, supporting engineering teams through training, knowledge-sharing, and ongoing assistance.
