NY Creates also runs some of the most advanced facilities in the world, boasts more than 3,000 industry experts and faculty, and manages public and private investments of more than $25 billion - placing it at the global epicenter of high-tech innovation and commercialization.Job Description:Position Summary, Test And Measurement (Electro-optic Test) Co-opThis co-op position is based in Rochester, NY and is responsible for performing electro-optic measurements on photonic chips.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and learn testing procedures for various electro-optic measurementsDevelop test setups and perform measurements for internal and external projectsDevelop automation scripts to improve measurement efficiencyDevelop scripts and tools for analyzing data, extracting parameters, and conclusionsDocument best working practices and present results to stakeholdersRequirements:Minimum Qualifications, Test And Measurement (Electro-optic Test) Co-opMasters or PhD student in Electrical Engineering or Physics with academic focus in Photonics/OpticsUnderstanding of concepts in electronics, photonicsUnderstanding of test and measurement techniques for electrical and photonics measurements1-year laboratory experience working with test setups and measurementsExperience coding and scripting in PythonThis position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check.Don't meet every requirement?
