Digital Adoption Specialist
DescriptionThe Digital Adoption Specialist is responsible for driving client engagement across the Caterpillar digital ecosystem, ensuring customers actively use the platforms that power uptime, reduce total cost of ownership, and improve operational decision-making. This role bridges the gap between available technology and executed client behavior—turning digital capability into measurable business results through structured onboarding, field engagement, and ongoing adoption management.What You’ll DoOwn the end-to-end digital activation process for assigned clients, including onboarding to Cat Central, parts.cat.com, VisionLink, and related platformsConduct in-person and virtual client meetings to demonstrate platform functionality and align tools with operational needsLead structured onboarding journeys that move clients from initial setup to advanced feature utilizationMaintain and manage a prioritized client engagement pipeline, tracking activation and usage stagesIdentify and re-engage dormant or underutilized accounts through targeted outreach and supportPartner with sales and service teams to ensure digital adoption is embedded into machine delivery and ongoing customer relationshipsServe as a subject matter expert across Caterpillar’s digital tools, translating technical capabilities into practical, role-specific use casesDevelop client-facing materials, including demos, guides, and onboarding resources aligned with Riggs standardsMonitor performance metrics and provide reporting on adoption rates, engagement trends, and growth opportunitiesRequirementsWhat You’ll NeedAbility to quickly learn and navigate software platforms, troubleshoot issues, and communicate functionality in clear, business-relevant termsStrong presentation and communication skills, with confidence leading both in-person and virtual client engagementsSelf-directed work style with the ability to manage a hybrid schedule across field and remote environmentsProficiency with Microsoft Teams, CRM/project management tools (e.g., Monday.com), and standard business applicationsValid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territoryAlignment with Riggs CAT core values and commitment to client successPreferred: Bachelor's Degree Experience in heavy equipment, construction technology, SaaS adoption, or customer successFamiliarity with Caterpillar systems, telematics platforms, or equipment management workflowsHow Success Is MeasuredThis role is built on visibility and accountability, with performance evaluated through a defined set of operational metrics, including:Number of clients activated per month across Cat Central, parts.cat.com, and VisionLinkPercentage of clients completing verified first-use within 30 days of onboardingGrowth in client engagement levels, including progression to consistent and advanced platform usageIncrease in VisionLink subscription adoption and upgrade rates across the client portfolioparts.cat.com utilization, including order frequency and revenue contribution from activated accountsReduction in dormant or inactive digital accounts within the assigned territoryQuality and consistency of pipeline management and reporting within the designated tracking systemIMPORTANT INFORMATIONWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
