This role involves evaluating and treating inpatients and outpatients, as well as working with UHS staff and community groups as needed./n/nResponsibilities/n/n- Administer respiratory therapy procedures as directed by the manager./n- Perform various therapeutic procedures including Aerosol Therapy, CPT, PEP, Incentive Spirometry, Suctioning, Extubation, and Oxygen Therapy./n- Manage BiPAP-CPAP therapy and alarms, as well as High Flow Cannula/Humidifier therapy./n- Perform pulmonary function screenings, EKG procedures, and blood gas analysis./n- Ensure oxygen tank safety and manage ventilator alarms./n- Provide life support (Adult, Pediatric, and Neonatal BLS) as necessary./n- Maintain patient healthcare information systems and medication administration programs./n- Record and appropriately report the results of all procedures./n- Assist in departmental in-service programs and perform additional duties as assigned./n/n/nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure/n/n- Up to three (3) years of experience in respiratory therapy, particularly in critical care or NICU settings./n- Graduation from an accredited School for Respiratory Therapy./n- New York State Respiratory Therapy Permit or License./n- Registered by the NBRC as a Respiratory Therapist./n- BLS and ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association./n- Experience with V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett Ventilators is preferred./n/n/nWhy ARMStaffing?/nAt ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
