The facility maintains a robust radiology department with strong support staff including diagnostic imaging nurses and technicians, and benefits from overflow support from a large radiology group in Sacramento for after-hours reads.Opportunity:Physician - Radiology - InterventionalJob Details:• Provide hospital coverage for radiology services including interventional radiology needs and stroke CTs• Work schedule 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with April 27-May 1 and May 25-29 coverage, ongoing assignments available• Interpret approximately 50 studies per day including 12-15 CTs, 15-20 X-rays, and 8-12 ultrasounds• Perform 4-6 interventional radiology procedures daily, predominantly non-complex percutaneous procedures• Handle IR procedures including thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, intra-abdominal abscess drainage, chest tubes, and suprapubic catheters• Conduct various biopsies including thyroid, lung, and other tissue biopsies• Perform lumbar punctures, barium studies, and various centesis exams with drains• Execute CT/US guided biopsies as needed• Potential coverage of outpatient Building 4 for contrasted CTs, MRIs, and breast biopsies• Support emergency department with daily volume of 85-90 patients and average inpatient census of 50 patients• Handle surgical, medical, ICU, and obstetric imaging cases• Board certification required with active CA state license• Must maintain BLS, DEA, and CA Fluoroscopy certifications• Utilize Cerner EMR system• On-call and weekend coverage responsibilities• Clean malpractice history preferredCompensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
