Network Security Analyst I Cloud Vulnerability RemediationLocation: Austin, TXWork Mode: Hybrid (2 days onsite per week)Duration: Longterm contractJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Network Security Analyst I with strong experience in cloud vulnerability remediation, patching, and security configuration. This role focuses on identifying, assessing, and remediating vulnerabilities across cloud environments to reduce enterprise risk and maintain compliance.The ideal candidate has handson experience with cloud security, vulnerability management tools, patching processes, and crossteam collaboration.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze vulnerability findings for cloudhosted resourcesAssess applicability, severity, and risk impact of identified vulnerabilitiesExecute remediation actions: patching, configuration updates, and security hardeningValidate remediation results and ensure successful closure of tasksPerform cloudbased patching and updates for supported workloadsImplement configuration changes when vendor patches are unavailableCreate and maintain remediation tasks, documentation, and change recordsEnsure all remediation follows established change management processesProvide remediation status updates for audits and leadership reportingSupport temporary mitigations or compensating controls when neededCollaborate with Cloud Operations, Security, Application, and Risk teamsIdentify recurring issues and recommend process improvementsContribute to reducing technical debt and improving cloud security postureRequired SkillsExperience with cloud vulnerability management and remediationStrong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar)Handson patching, configuration management, and security hardeningFamiliarity with vulnerability scanning tools and security frameworksExperience working with change management and compliance processesAbility to analyze risk, prioritize remediation, and validate fixesStrong communication and documentation skillsAbility to work with crossfunctional teams
