DescriptionSUMMARY OF POSITIONThe Manager of Logistics oversees transportation and warehouse distribution and bi-product sales. Analyzes and coordinates the logistical functions of the agency. Responsible for the entire life cycle for agency merchandise and/or product, including distribution, internal allocation, and final disposal of resources. The trainer is expected to be courteous and professional while upholding the core Goodwill values of -Empowerment, Public Trust, Respect, Innovation, Quality, and Safety.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESDonation StationsResponsible for managing the daily operation of assigned donation stations. Ensure appropriate staffing each day. Train and mentor staff in their daily tasks, and to provide excellent customer service. Conduct quarterly training to standardize all donation stations.Provide annual performance reviews for assigned staff. Assist with establishing goals and providing necessary resources and support for successful outcomes.Aid in the resolution of issues concerning logistics or customer issues.Generate donor count reports.Drop BoxesIdentity ideal locations for drop boxes. Collaborate with community business partners to place a drop box at their business or organization. Determine schedule of pickups for each drop box and responsibly handle collected items. Ensure each box and associated signage are clean and secure. Repair boxes when needed.Develop and maintain Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs).Logistics ManagementWork closely with the Transportation Manager and Warehouse Manager to ensure proper flow of materials. Adhere to and enforce safety and loss prevention procedures to prevent injury to personnel and damage to property, equipment and inventory.Support marketing efforts during donation drives.Assist the Purchasing Department with product allocation.Contribute to the fulfillment of department and agency objectives and goals. Embrace the agency's core values in the spirit in which the agency operates at work and in the community. Comply with all department and agency policies, procedures, and regulations. Adhere to and enforce safety and loss prevention procedures to prevent injury to personnel and damage to property, equipment, and inventory.Perform other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent and four years closely related experience.Possess a valid Driver License with a clean driving record. Reliable transportation with the ability to travel within the region as required for meeting participants, workshops, and meetings. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol screen.Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and Saturdays.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESGeneral understanding of vehicle and facility maintenanceAbility to plan, organize, work effectively, and meet deadlines.Able to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base to provide prompt and courteous service.Basic computer skillsPHYSICAL FUNCTIONSAbility to work in hot/cold, humid and/or dusty environmentAbility to bend, push, pull and stand for long periods of timeAbility to lift and carry 75 lbsPreferred QualificationsWorking knowledge of Department of Transportation regulationsSupervisory experienceExperience in working with people with disabilities and disadvantaged conditions.Bilingual (English and Spanish speaking)
