SUMMARY:Under the direction of the Manager of Photolithography Manufacturing Engineering, the Photolithography Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the monitoring, sustaining, and supporting day-to-day manufacturing processes, programs, and activities, including providing technical support to ensure process reliability; improving the efficiency of photolithography processes; developing and implementing practices or methodologies which reduce cost and improve operational efficiency; analyzing data, creating reports, and making presentations to groups; conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective action; and improving production yields via process/tool manufacturability optimization. This position is located in Milpitas, California.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Monitors, sustains, and supports day-to-day photolithography manufacturing processes, programs, and activities which improve and optimize wafer quality and performanceEnsures process reliability by providing technical support to operators, technicians, and other engineersDesigns and conducts experiments to verify process robustness with characterization and improvement of process latitudeDevelops and implements practices or methodologies which lower cost, reduce cycle time, and improve operational efficiencyConducts root cause analysis and implements corrective action if requiredImproves production yields via process/tool manufacturability optimizationPartners with other groups and departments, including process and product engineering to develop and implement new processes which reduce scrap and improve yieldResponds to inquiries from other team members, managers, or departmentsUses Statistical Process Control (SPC) to analyze product quality data; develops charts or reports and presents findings before groups or teamsAdheres to all safety policies and procedures as requiredPerforms other duties of a similar nature or level*QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical or Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or Physics and/or equivalent relevant experience; Master’s degree preferredThree years of hands on experience working in photolithography in a process or manufacturing engineerStrong experience in SPC, Design of Experiments (DOE), and photoresist modelingProficient in the use of Microsoft Office ApplicationsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong knowledge of photolithography fabrication techniques using steppers/scanners, spin-on photoresist tracks, and developer tools.Strong knowledge of semiconductor device measurement tools, practices, and techniquesKnowledge and experience using JMP or Excel and the ability to create macro formulasKnowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office applications to create spreadsheets, Word documents, and presentationsAble to design experiments, analyze results, and recommend corrective actionAble to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of contractors, consultants, employees, and managementAble to work productively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and managementAble to comply with all safety policies and proceduresDemonstrated organizational and time management skillsDemonstrated problem-solving and trouble shooting skillsFlexible and able to prioritizeThe annual base salary for this full-time position is between $121,000.00-$178,000.00 + bonus target + benefits. Within the range the individual pay may differ depending on additional factors including job responsibilities, job related knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience. The annual base pay range shown is subject to change and may be modified periodically.
