Peters Research FoundationPosition SummaryThe Chief Academic & Institutional Integration Officer (CAIIO) is responsible for aligning Lighthouse’s shared academic infrastructure with the operational, academic, and technical environments of partner institutions. This position operates in a hybrid work environment, combining on-site and remote responsibilities.This role is responsible for designing and advancing a high-quality, shared academic ecosystem that enables partner institutions to collaborate effectively while maintaining their distinct missions.The CAIIO leads the development and execution of the consortium’s academic network strategy, establishing scalable frameworks that support cross-institutional course and program sharing.With a focus on innovation and alignment, the CAIIO ensures that all academic offerings reflect Lighthouse’s core commitments to mission preservation, financial sustainability, academic integrity, collaborative infrastructure, and responsible growth. As a key member of the Lighthouse Leadership Team, the CAIIO partners closely with institutional leaders and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.Essential FunctionsThe responsibilities for the CAIIO include, but are not limited to, the following:Institutional Academic Relationship ManagementServe as primary academic liaison to Provosts, Deans, and academic leadership at partner institutionsLead academic onboarding and ongoing alignment conversationsSupport institutions in integrating Lighthouse courses into their degree programsEnsure all engagement reinforces governance preservation (institution retains full academic authority)Course Deployment & LMS IntegrationOversee deployment of Lighthouse courses into partner LMS environments or Lighthouse-hosted LMSEnsure course shells meet institutional standards (QA, accessibility, structure)Coordinate with internal and institutional tech teams on:LMS configurationGrade passbackTerm readinessEstablish repeatable deployment playbooksCourse Crosswalks & Program MappingLead development of course equivalency crosswalks between Lighthouse courses and institutional curriculaWork with academic leadership to align courses to:Degree requirementsGeneral education frameworksProgram-specific pathwaysAI-assisted crosswalk generationPredictive course demand modelingDocument and standardize crosswalk methodologies across institutionsCourse Scheduling & Registration ArchitectureAssist institutions in designing scheduling models that incorporate Lighthouse courses Support development of:Term calendarsSection planningCapacity modelingContribute to design of scalable registration workflows across institutionsData Integration & Institutional ReportingSupport development of data-sharing frameworks between Lighthouse and partner institutionsEnsure alignment with:FERPAInstitutional data governance policiesCoordinate with technical teams on:Data pipelinesReporting structuresDashboard outputsHelp define KPI frameworks for academic performance and course utilizationAcademic Quality Assurance & Continuous ImprovementOversee academic QA processes across the shared course libraryEnsure courses remain current, compliant, and aligned with workforce relevanceCoordinate periodic course reviews and updatesAutomate QA auditsWork with AI-driven tools to identify content gaps and improvement opportunitiesFaculty & Credential Coordination SupportSupport institutions in faculty alignment for Lighthouse-delivered coursesAssist with credential documentation workflows where applicableEnsure alignment with accreditor expectationsInternal Product & Infrastructure DevelopmentAct as the “academic product owner” for Lighthouse offeringsProvide input into:New course development prioritiesProgram expansion strategyPlatform enhancementsTranslate institutional needs into scalable solutionsQualificationsCommitment to the Christian mission of the Lighthouse ConsortiumAn earned doctorateSignificant (10+ years) online teaching and administrative experienceExperience with accreditation and complianceExperience building or leading academic partnerships or consortiaCourse development experience in Canvas learning management systemExcellent communication skills
