Engineer

Delaware Solid Waste Authority is seeking an Engineer with at least 2 years of experience to join our Cherry Island Landfill office in Wilmington, DE. This work involves supervising project engineering assignments to ensure wok is completed on time Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure work is completed on time. This work will also include serving as a back up to the Facility Engineer, the oversight of contractor activities on site, construction oversight and supervision of weighing staff. Strong writing, communication and computer skills are required. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical or related engineering. Knowledge and experience in landfill operations or solid waste management preferable but not required. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
