Medical Oncologist

Responsibilities
Examine, diagnose and treat or prescribe course of treatment for patients.
Provide consultation and advice to the medical staff regarding oncology matters.
Conduct and supervise direct patient care, and plan and execute disease prevention and health promotion programs.
Order and interpret findings of studies/tests.
Dictate or write patient history, admissions, care plans, progress, and discharge notes.
Conduct or participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds and ensure appropriate and quality care for assigned patients.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited Medical School and Residency Program required.
Previous experience as an oncologist required.
Must have a current, valid license to practice medicine in the State of Wyoming and must be in good standing with the Board of Medicine.
Must have a current, valid Controlled Substance Registration in the State of Wyoming and must be in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy.
Must have a current, valid DEA Registration and must be in good standing with the DEA.
Must be a member of the Active Medical Staff at Ivinson Memorial Hospital and must comply with the Medical Staff governing documents; must remain in good standing with the Medical Staff and governing documents and must obtain all necessary hospital privileges to perform the role of Hospitalist at Ivinson Memorial Hospital.
Excellent customer service skills, including a friendly personality, tact, patience, empathy and a helpful, professional attitude both in person and on the telephone.
Ability to effectively communicate with staff, managers and the general public verbally and in writing.
Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to establish priorities effectively.
Possess exceptional problem solving skills.
Ability to work effectively without immediate supervision.
Ability to learn new computer software programs.
Ability to recognize and protect confidential information.
Demonstrate ethical and legal accountability for the position.
