Controls Engineer – Hagerstown, MD A leader in the building materials manufacturing space is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. This role will support both long-term engineering projects and day-to-day production operations by troubleshooting, improving, and maintaining automated systems and controls across the facility.ResponsibilitiesSupport plant production by troubleshooting and resolving controls and automation issuesAssist with long-term engineering and continuous improvement projectsMaintain and optimize PLCs, HMIs, drives, and other control systemsCollaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to improve system reliability and efficiencyHelp implement process improvements, equipment upgrades, and automation initiativesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering required3+ years of controls engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with PLC programming, automation systems, and industrial controlsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
