This role is responsible for designing, analyzing, and evaluating systems, products, and components to meet functional, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and safety requirements. The position involves leading technical initiatives, supporting new product introduction efforts, and applying innovative engineering methods and modeling tools to resolve complex technical challenges while improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.Job ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, analyze, and evaluate mechanical systems, products, and components using advanced engineering principles and toolsDevelop and execute complex models and simulations using CAD and analytical software to meet design and performance requirementsLead or support engineering investigations to identify root causes, develop solutions, and implement corrective actionsServe as a technical lead on engineering projects, coordinating cross-functional activities and providing technical directionPrepare and review technical documentation including drawings, bill of materials, tolerance analyses, cost studies, risk assessments, and failure analysis reportsSupport engineering change processes (ECNs/ICNs) and ensure effective implementation into production environmentsLead and support new product introduction activities, ensuring smooth transition from design to manufacturingUtilize 3D solid modeling tools to create detailed part models, assemblies, and technical drawings, including sheet metal and conductive componentsConduct technical reviews and present engineering data to internal stakeholders and cross-functional teamsEnsure compliance with engineering policies, procedures, and quality standards throughout all design and development activitiesJob RequirementsStrong mechanical engineering knowledge with the ability to work across related engineering disciplinesProficiency in CAD modeling and technical drawing creation using PTC Creo or equivalent toolsExperience with PTC Windchill or similar PLM systemsExperience designing sheet metal components, enclosures, or busbar systemsStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly analyze and resolve technical issuesAbility to manage multiple priorities independently with minimal supervisionStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environmentExperience supporting manufacturing environments and new product introduction processesKnowledge of engineering documentation practices, including BOMs, tolerance analysis, and risk managementEducationBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field requiredWork Experience5 to 8 years of mechanical engineering or technical design experience required
