You’ll be responsible for project performance and profit from day one!A Day In The LifeManage projects and communicate with clients, technical drafting staff, and others outside the project team Prepare preliminary designs for clientsReview building codes to assure proper implementation in designAttend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineersProduce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents as well as constructionProduce construction ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to assure completeness and accuracy Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with the construction teamsNecessary QualificationsBS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering 5+ years of structural engineering building design experience (commercial experience is ideal)Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light gage steel, and understanding of foundation designProficiency using Revit independently to create construction level structural drawings is requiredKnowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design packages preferredProficiency using Microsoft Office SuiteProfessional Engineer (PE) licensure, or ability to obtain within 6 monthsWhat We Can Offer YouWe are dedicated to the well-being of our associates and our offices are consistently recognized as a ‘Best Place to Work’.
