Full Time Year-Round Banquet Captain
Job SummaryYou will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for leading the Banquet team on all banquet functions, including set-up, service, and breakdown. You will use the freedom to go beyond to turn guest interactions into moments of magic.The Banquet Captain is a leadership role responsible for elevating service standards, mentoring supervisors and staff, and supporting operation excellence across all banquet functions. This position bridges execution and management, ensuring consistency, accountability, and a luxury level guest experienceResponsibilitiesOversee multiple events or complex programs simultaneouslySupport scheduling, staffing strategy, and labor efficiencyPartner with banquet leadership on daily operations, priorities and execution strategyConduct preshift meetings and ensure team preparedness across all positonsMentor and develop team members including supervisors, servers, bartenders and housemenLead daily walkthroughs to ensure all event spaces meet luxury expectationsEnsure accuracy of billing, consumption, and event reportsIdentify operational gaps and implement solutions in real timePerson of contact for service challenges or guest concernsCollaborate with culinary and planning team for event executionLeadership ExpectationsSets the tone for the team with professionalism, urgency, and accountabilityDevelop team members through coaching and real time feedbackOperates with a “big picture” mindset while still execution detailsHolds the team to elevated luxury service standards consistentlyAssist in training programs, onboarding and ongoing team developmentDrive accountability for BEO Accuracy and execution, Billing and consumption alignment, Service standards and presentationsGreat communicator.
