These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Uphold the Nurtur Core Values and Behaviors and Aveda Success FactorsDemonstrate a strong understanding that the salon/spa industry is "high touch", meaning that it requires strong interpersonal skills and attention to the needs of othersServe as a role model by exemplifying professionalism, integrity, and positivity, while adhering to company policies and proceduresMaintain a cohesive, cooperative work environment through team-building and motivationKeep up-to-date on the latest trends in the salon industry by reading trade publications, attending industry events, and/or studying outside education on a regular basisCollaborate with the Salon + Spa Director to identify sales opportunities and create strategies to achieve goalsWork with the marketing team to implement marketing strategies to attract new customers, retain current customers, and drive salesProvide direction of leadership in areas of the business including but not limited to: reservations, retail, salon services, salon operations, marketing, maintenance, education, financial responsibility, and cultural standardsMonitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance, adjusting strategies to achieve goalsAssist in developing or devising plans and policies/procedures to ensure the effective operations of the salon and spaConduct semi-annual reviews for all Nurtur Professionals and annual reviews for the support teamConduct ongoing team meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions to provide continuous feedback and supportProcess and maintain updated knowledge of the salon's systems such as hourly structure, commission structure, and bonus incentivesWork with the Payroll department to ensure accuracy of compensation for the entire staffWork with the HR department to ensure accuracy of all personnel for compensation, employment status, and company benefitsHave an intimate knowledge of the salon menu and the details of each experience offeredOversee all staff schedules ensuring the salon and spa stations/rooms are fully optimized to maximize service potentialOversee all time off requests and ensure accuracy of the appointment bookHost regular events to drive engagement and sales, and build relationships with other businesses, creating a collaborative network of partnershipsEnsure the building and equipment are maintained, clean, organized, and State Board compliantMaintain an active pipeline of Nurtur Professionals by recruiting from local Cosmetology and Esthetics schools, and work with the Recruiting department to ensure they keep an accurate record of hiring needsInterview, hire, and onboard team members in a timely manner to ensure the salon and spa are fully staffed at all timesResolve customer complaints and challenges, and provide solutions for any team disputesProvide ongoing recognition, support, and motivation to team members, and engage with clients to ensure exceptional experiences and address any concernsEnsure that the salon's inventory levels are stocked with appropriate products and supplies and that all orders placed are within budgetParticipate in Aveda, Nurtur, and Ultraceuticals events including career fairs, marketing events, Earth Month, Beauty for a Cure, etcMinimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentState-issued Cosmetology or Esthetics license is preferred but not required5 years of continuous retail and/or salon and spa experience is highly preferred 5 years of management and training experience is highly preferredExhibit time-management, organization, self-direction, initiative, resourcefulness, and follow-through with the ability to work at a fast pace and handle multiple tasks and projects at the same timeProficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail management softwareExcellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skillsEagerness to learn and grow in positionDemonstrate extreme professionalism in manner, dress, and conduct Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as-neededStrong commitment to customer service excellence and to the Company's mission and visionTravel RequirementsThe team member in this position must be able to travel locally to events and for out-of-state training as necessary.Perks And BenefitsMedical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance401(k)/matchPTOEmployee discounts on products and servicesGrowth opportunities Physical Demands And Work EnvironmentSit at a desk with a computer for up to eight (8) hours per dayUse hands to handle objects and reach with hands and armsWalk, sit, stand, balance, stoop, speak, and hearSee a computer screen and read paper and electronic documentsOccasionally lift and/or move objects up to 30 poundsTolerate a minimal to moderate noise level typical of a salon and spa envrionment Equal Opportunity EmployerNurtur SalonSpa Columbus, LLC (including its affiliated organizations) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
