Job Overview
AMP Recreation LLC is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a strong background in commercial real estate and restaurant/hospitality accounting to oversee financial operations across our growing portfolio in Springfield, Missouri.
Our organization operates multiple hospitality concepts within the Plaza Towers District, including The Daily Blend coffee & smoothie bar, Sunshine Events Center, and several 2026 restaurant and entertainment launches. In addition to restaurant operations, our portfolio includes commercial real estate assets requiring lease management, capital planning, and asset performance analysis.
This role is ideal for a CPA who understands both operating business performance and real estate asset strategy, and who thrives in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities:
Oversee accounting operations for a multi-entity hospitality and commercial real estate portfolio.
Manage full-cycle accounting, including general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close.
Prepare consolidated financial statements, P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts for operating businesses and real estate assets.
Analyze restaurant KPIs including COGS, labor percentages, prime cost, and margin targets.
Monitor real estate asset performance, lease structures, CAM reconciliations, and tenant accounting.
Oversee capital expenditure tracking and construction accounting.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (sales tax, payroll tax, liquor tax).
Provide financial modeling for new restaurant launches and property development projects.
Coordinate with lenders, investors, and banking institutions.
Implement internal controls and financial best practices across entities.
Assist ownership in long-term strategic growth and acquisition planning.
Requirements:
Active CPA license (required).
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Proven background in restaurant/hospitality accounting.
Experience in commercial real estate accounting and asset management.
Strong understanding of lease accounting and CAM reconciliations.
Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop & Online preferred).
Experience with POS integrations (Toast preferred).
Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling and forecasting).
Knowledge of Missouri tax regulations preferred.
Strong analytical mindset and ability to advise ownership directly.
High integrity and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in multi-location restaurant groups.
Experience with mixed-use commercial properties.
Familiarity with construction budgets and contractor pay applications.
Experience with investor reporting.
Background in financial system optimization and process automation.
