We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Chassis Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. Responsibilities
Perform detailed inspections and diagnostics on chassis components including suspension, shocks & struts, axles, and steering systems using schematics and diagnostic tools.
Repair or replace damaged or worn-out parts such as transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, air brake systems, and alignment components to ensure vehicle safety and efficiency.
Conduct fabrication tasks as needed for custom repairs or modifications using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques.
Maintain heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and tractor-trailers by executing routine maintenance and troubleshooting complex issues.
Utilize automotive diagnostics software to identify electrical or mechanical faults in industrial or heavy equipment systems.
Perform wheel alignments, tire services, and suspension repairs to optimize vehicle handling and safety standards.
Document all repairs thoroughly in maintenance logs and follow safety protocols during all service procedures.
Skills
Proven experience working with dealership or industrial equipment maintenance environments.
Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and suspension components.
Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding, cutting, soldering, and assembly of custom parts or modifications.
Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment.
Hands-on experience with automotive repair tools including hand tools, power tools, diagnostic scanners, and service equipment.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working on large machinery or vehicle components.
Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs.
