The company also has a variety of voluntary benefits for employees to choose from.Compensation$33.36 per hour.ResponsibilitiesOperates a Class A tractor and 2 trailer combination vehicles safely, obeying all traffic lawsPerforms a pre-trip and post-trip inspection, recording all deficiencies on a DVIR and communicate with maintenance department as necessaryRecords all necessary daily trip/load as directedCommunicates with dispatch daily for all loads regarding times, material and locations as requiredMakes necessary adjustments to equipment and material being hauled (e.g. secure tarp and tailgate)Regular washing of vehicle to inclu de all exterior parts of the tractor Maintain the inside of vehicle keeping it clean and free of garbageWorks in a safe manner at all times following all DOT, OSHA, MSHA and CPC safety guidelinesReport all incidents/injuries to management as soon as they occurAttend safety meetings as scheduled by managementMay be required to perform other related dutiesEducationHigh school diploma/GEDRequirements/QualificationsValid Class A driver’s license with a clean driving record and doubles endorsementCurrent DOT Medical CertificateExperience driving a tractor and 2 trailer combination commercial vehicleUse radio to communicate with company personnelMust be able to speak, read and write in EnglishPhysical requirements: climbing, stooping, bending, squatting, lifting (up to 75 lbs.), stretching, driving/sitting and shifting gearsDemonstrated commitment to safetySteel-toed boots are required; ANSI approved PPE will be provided and must be used when requiredAble to work in wet and/or dry conditions and extreme heat and coldSubject to random drug and alcohol screens as required by Company and DOT regulationsWork varying shifts with varying start and stop times and availability on weekends when neededExperience hauling aggregate materials preferredConditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing. For work that will be performed in the San Francisco area, qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered for employment.
