Production Associate - DEN
Purpose: Perform all tasks involved in the production of JBC Technologies, Inc. products. This includes laminating, slitting, die-cutting and assembly work with various materials including foams, rubbers, metals, graphite, cork-fibers, and fiberglass. Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesPrioritizes safetySets-up and operates any shop machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelinesReads and interprets blueprints, drawings, Job Orders, routers and diagrams to correctly set up dies and equipmentAdheres to operating procedures/instructionsAdjusts machine settings to complete tasks per specification to run job orders accurately and maximize productivityDetects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisorsCommunicates process and quality improvementsMaintains a clean and safe workstation; follow shop 5S systemEmbraces a team attitude that aligns with JBC’s Core Values Accurately records labor and material usage in ERP systemFollows all JBC policies and procedures Other responsibilities as assigned by managementQualificationsEducation and Experience:High school diploma/GED or equivalent 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing/shipping environmentKnowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, expectations, and procedures in manufacturingJob Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesAbility to read and perform basic math skills, including countingAbility to use various tools including tape measure, dial caliper, and other hand toolsMust have a good command of the English language, both written and spokenBasic reading skills for understanding drawings, Job Orders, and specsAbility to follow directionsStrong manual dexteritySupervisory Responsibilities NonePhysical DemandsLight to moderate physical effort required on a constant basisMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsRequired to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility for an entire shiftEmployees subject to random drug and alcohol testingPersonal Protective EquipmentProtective equipment not required but availableProtective equipment, such as gloves, required for specific tasksWork Schedule Normal Schedule –1st Shift - Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pmOvertime scheduled as needed and may be mandatory on Fridays and SaturdaysWork EnvironmentWork performed in a plant/production environmentContains any number of elements including but not limited to fiberglass/insulation material, dust, fumes, and noise.Must be able to work as part of a team or independently with limited supervision
