Role Overview: Perform routine custodial support for designated non-direct patient care areas and vacant clinic exam rooms. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across various facility areas to ensure a safe environment. Key Responsibilities: Restroom Sanitation: Clean and disinfect fixtures (sinks, toilets, urinals), sweep/mop floors with hospital-grade germicidal solutions, and restock all consumables three times daily. Waste Management: Empty, sanitize, and reline trash and recycling containers four times per day. Floor & Common Area Maintenance: Perform daily sweeping, dust mopping, and damp/wet mopping of hallways, corridors, elevators, and stairways. Office Cleaning: High/low dusting, trash removal, and floor maintenance on a daily basis (when available). Clinic (Exam Room) Cleaning: Perform intensive "Terminal Cleaning" at the end of each day for vacant exam rooms, including disinfecting all high-touch surfaces and equipment. Safety Compliance: Properly display wet floor signs and comply with all Life Safety Regulations. Mandatory Requirements & Qualifications: Security Clearance: Must pass a Tier 1 National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and receive favorable adjudication prior to starting work (this process typically takes 4–6 weeks). Training: Completion of VA Privacy and Information Security Awareness, Rules of Behavior, and Bloodborne Pathogen training is required. Uniforms: Must wear a standard, easily recognizable custodial uniform and appropriate safety footw Experience (For Leadership Roles): Shift Leaders: At least one (1) year of housekeeping experience. Contract Administrator: At least two (2) years of experience overseeing contractual actions. Work Schedule Estimates: Portland Sanitation: 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM (Mon-Thu or Tue-Fri) OR 12:00 AM – 10:30 AM (Mon-Thu or Fri-Mon). Vancouver Sanitation: 1:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Mon-Thu or Fri-Mon).
