Camp Loyaltown, a program of Citizens Options Unlimited, is a vibrant residential summer camp in the Catskill Mountains that welcomes over 650 campers with intellectual and other developmental disabilities each year. Position runs June through August at our sleep away camp in Hunter Mountain.
Salary: Salaried at $1,300 per week (40 Hour Schedule)

Licensed Practical nurses work full-time on site at camp in Hunter NY. LPN’s work in a complete and mutually supportive team with the RN’s, Unit Heads, Cabin Counselors, Program Staff, Kitchen Staff, Administration, and Campers to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all campers and staff. This is achieved by providing high-quality nursing care, managing medical records, administering medications, and responding to illnesses and emergencies in accordance with camp policies and state regulations.

What we require:
New York State Professional Nursing Certification
Current NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
Current CPR/AED certification (must be renewed annually in accordance with DOH regulations)
Some experience with ID/DD population preferred
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Ability to move throughout camp property, including uneven terrain and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions, ability to lift, carry, or move up to 25 pounds independently and assist with lifting/transferring campers as needed
Capacity to respond quickly in emergency situations, which may require physical activity (e.g., CPR, first aid)
Tolerance for extended standing, walking, or bending during daily operations
