Implements procedures to improve quality, productivity and efficiency. Ensures shipments are delivered in a timely manner. Maintains relationships with carrier vendors and consistently resolves customer issues.Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment. Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities. Work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.Determines space requirements in inventory.Determines routing and legal load limits on trucks.Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.Complies records of unfilled ordersPosts shipments and keeps record of shipments ready to go out the door.Read and interpret blueprints to identify material types, grades, and processing requirementsReview and understand customer specifications and applicable industry standardsEvaluate customer purchase orders to determine appropriate process flow and manufacturing requirementsDefines processing and verification standards based on customer prints and specificationsDetermines appropriate passivation and electropolishing methods in alignment with customer and industry standardsReviews complex orders for manufacturability and internal routing accuracySupports real-time work order corrections and continuous process validationCommunicates directly with customers to clarify PO details, request missing documentation, and confirm processing requirementsLeads and manages shared customer communication channels, including status updates, PO revisions, and INCOTERM alignmentResponds to expedite requests and adjust priorities accordinglyCollaborates with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure alignment across functionsSupports continuous improvement initiatives in shipping, order processing, and manufacturing workflowsEducationHigh School Diploma required. Post secondary education in technical or engieering fields a plus.Experience3-6 YearsKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesStrong communication and presentation skillsKnowledge of Microsoft office and any other software neededAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and customer specificationsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExperience or exposure to ERP systems preferredEffective communication skills with both internal teams and external customersWork EnvironmentWork performed in a production environment. Exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, chemical and other elements. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
