Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring at least 1 year of PCU experience, GA or compact RN licensure, and night shift availability.Job Details• Hospital PCU setting with 24 beds and a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio,• Adult to geriatric patient population with diverse diagnoses including GI bleed, DKA, stroke/TIA, hypertension, NSTEMI, COPD, and CHF,• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM,• Every other weekend required,• Floating required within the facility per scope of practice and to a sister campus as needed,• No on-call requirements,• EMR: Epic; medication dispensing: Pyxis; communication: SBAR,Job Requirements• Active GA or compact RN license required at time of consideration,• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS,• Minimum 1 year of PCU or progressive care nursing experience required,• Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration,• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred - some units require two on file for review,Additional Information• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position,• Local candidates are accepted,• Navy blue scrubs required,• RTO maximum is 7 days for the duration of the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week,• Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two, and one holiday RTO request may be submitted for approval,• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counted as one), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counted as one), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counted as one),• No schedule requests or alternate shift arrangements are permitted - the posted shift is firm,• Travelers who have previously worked at any facility within this health system must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler,
