Aircraft Mechanic

Job Description Position OverviewWe are seeking a high-caliber Aircraft Mechanic with a strong technical background and proven leadership skills to oversee our fleet operations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader holding a valid A&P License, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety, airworthiness, and regulatory compliance.While broad turboprop experience is essential, candidates with specific experience on the Saab 340 airframe will be given top priority.Key ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Compliance: Serve as the primary point of contact for the FAA; ensure all records, logbooks, and maintenance tracking systems comply with Part 135 (or 121/145) regulations. Ensure configuration control is maintained on all aircraft.Fleet Readiness: Schedule and oversee scheduled inspections, engine changes, and unscheduled AOG (Aircraft On Ground) repairs to maximize fleet availability.Budgeting & Vendor Management: Manage the maintenance budget, negotiate with parts suppliers, and oversee outside vendors for specialized repairs or overhauls.Safety Culture: Adhere to robust Safety Management System (SMS).Qualifications & SkillsCertification: Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License is required. Inspection Authorization (IA) is highly preferred.Experience: * Minimum of 3-5 years of aircraft maintenance experience.Technical Expertise: Deep familiarity with turboprop systems. Direct experience with Saab 340 (A/B models) maintenance and troubleshooting is a significant plus.Software: Proficiency in maintenance tracking softwareCommunication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with pilots, owners, and regulatory authorities.Physical RequirementsAbility to work in hangar environments, including climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in confined spaces if necessary.Availability for occasional travel and "on-call" support for AOG situations.Why Join Us?"We offer a fast-paced, professional environment where safety is our north star.
