As we Serve with Integrity - Collaborate with Humility - Grow with Agility - Innovate with Impact.The OpportunityAs our Temporary Buyer/Planner, you will ensuring the time execution of production line related forecasting, shop floor control, inventory management, and procurement activities in support of the total customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesContinuous improvement of supplier performance in the areas of quality, delivery and paperwork accuracy by evaluating performance results and generating corrective action plans to suppliers.Responsible for the sourcing of new and existing components and services in support of supplier base management strategies.Responsible for annual and on-going price negotiations in support of product line costs control strategies.Communicate and resolve material non-conformances with supplies as required.Resolve any Accounts Payable invoicing issuesIndicate budget/revenue responsibilities.Prepare and analyze various reports accordingly to company policies and SOX compliance in a daily, weekly and monthly basis.Manage inventory in support of budget and inventory turn objectives.Monitor customer order shipment requirements.Support various departments as needed to improve product quality, manufacturing methods, implementations and material flow.Meet and follow all safety rules and requirements.Qualifications5+ years of production experience as a planner/purchaser/buyerEducation:High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experiencePreferred:A.S degree or higher in Business or related field.APICS/CPM CertifiedAbility to use a computerProficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.Working knowledge of fully integrated business systemsPreferred: Working knowledge of JDE Edwards business system.Experience in Mechanical Power Transmission industry or products.Ability to read and understand technical documents and blueprints.Attention to detail and commitment to quality.Proficient math skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team.Good communication skills.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand or sit for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.Capability to lift, push, pull and move materials, typically up to 50 pounds.Sitting, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, squatting and stepping up/down for various amounts of time and paces.Work EnvironmentAbility to work in an office and production environmentWorking around moving industrial machinery and exposure to machinery noise, chemicals, and fumes from associated productsWorking in moderate cold to extreme heat temperaturesThe estimated annual salary/hourly range for this role is $25-$35.
