Interim Controller

We are seeking a highly operational accounting professional for a contract engagement within a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on accounting operations, can work through imperfect processes, and is comfortable stepping into evolving environments that require urgency, accountability, and execution.The ideal candidate will be willing to roll up their sleeves, operate within lean teams, and take ownership of day-to-day accounting functions.Top 3 Priorities: • Hands-on operational accounting leadership • Cash forecasting & urgency-driven mindset • Systems/process adaptability (SAP + Business Central)Key Responsibilities: • Lead daily accounting operations across multiple entities • Manage complex month-end and year-end close activities • Perform detailed reconciliations, consolidations, and intercompany accounting • Oversee daily cash forecasting and cash management processes • Support accounting stabilization efforts in a high-volume operational environment • Manage revenue recognition across multiple income streams, including software (ASC 606), brokerage, and factoring activities • Identify process gaps and help improve accounting workflows and reporting accuracy • Partner closely with operations and leadership teams to support financial visibility and executionIdeal Background: • Strong hands-on accounting and close experience • Experience in Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or senior operational accounting roles • Proven cash forecasting and treasury management experience • Strong consolidations and intercompany reconciliation background • SAP and/or Microsoft Business Central experience highly preferred • Comfortable working in fast-moving, evolving, and operationally intensive environments • Ability to work independently and solve problems in real time • Strong sense of urgency, ownership, and accountabilityThis is an excellent opportunity for an accounting leader who enjoys operational challenges, process improvement, and making an immediate impact within a growing organization.
