Lead Low Voltage Technician

We are seeking an experienced Lead Low Voltage Technician to oversee the installation, programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning of life safety and security systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and field crews to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with all applicable codes and standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead installation, service, and commissioning of Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, and Burglar Alarm systemsSupervise and mentor technicians and apprentices in the fieldRead and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawingsProgram, test, and troubleshoot system components and networksPerform system inspections, testing, and acceptance with AHJs and clientsCoordinate daily field activities and ensure quality controlEnsure compliance with NFPA, NEC, and local codesDocument work performed, as-built drawings, and service reportsCommunicate effectively with project managers, customers, and other tradesQualifications5+ years of hands-on experience with low voltage and life safety systemsStrong working knowledge of Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, and Burglar Alarm systemsAbility to lead crews and manage multiple tasks on active job sitesProficiency in system programming, troubleshooting, and diagnosticsAbility to read blueprints and technical documentationStrong communication and problem-solving skillsValid driver’s license and clean driving recordPreferred / Nice To HaveNICET certification (Fire Alarm Level II–IV)Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Honeywell, Bosch, Lenel, Genetec, Axis, Avigilon)Experience with IP networking and structured cablingOSHA 10/30 certificationExperience with commercial and industrial projects
