Kegman Inc, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business in Melbourne FL, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Technical Program Manager with 5-8 years of documented experience to join our team at Patrick Space Force Base supporting theAir Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC) located on the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean’s historic Space Coast.NOTE: This is not a remote/telework job. This job requires the selected applicant to have an active U.S. Government-issued security clearance at time of hire and, therefore, requires U.S. citizenship.Job DescriptionThe Technical Program Manager (PM) will lead and oversee projects for a unique mission that is focused on sensing across the electromagnetic spectrum. Additionally, the Technical PM will lead the design and development for a variety of Research and Development projects, from a cost, schedule, and performance standpoint. Education and experience in the sciences (physics, engineering, chemistry, geophysics, etc.) is essential to having the technical understanding and vocabulary to distill customer requirements into executable project schedules.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, initiate, plan, and execute Research and Development (R&D) projects related to optical, laser, and radio frequency detection technologyDocument all cost, schedule, and performance for R&D projects to move technologies through technology readiness levels (TRLs) from initiation to transitionCoordinate on the authorship of R&D strategic planning documents to close capability gapsCoordinate, facilitate, and participate in meetings, working groups, and integrated product teams related to R&D projectsCoordinate and regularly interact with the dedicated program manager from AFTAC’s Systems Development DirectorateReview and approve final contract documents and deliverables for completeness and conformity to requirementsPrepare/present materials for internal and external program reviews, cost reviews, risk review, and other meetings and briefings as requiredTravel to various locations to attend meetings, develop strategic planning documents for R&D requirements, and coordinate on action items.
