System Administrator
Job Description:
At least five (5) years of experience in System Administration, including: Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Support, Test and Evaluation, Integration, and Installation Logistics support of C4ISR requirements
At least three (3) years of technical experience in support of C4ISR and information management systems
Experience working in a virtual environment or with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
Familiar with the functions of the Windows registry, directory structure, and Group Policy
Possess hands-on technical experience configuring, securing, and troubleshooting Windows- domains, services (DHCP, DNS, WINS), and applications
Possess experience with:
o Windows based systems administration/configuration/installation MS Server 2019 or newer installation and configuration
o Windows 11 installation and configuration
o Network Attached Storage System (NAS)
o Active Directory configuration
o DHCP configuration
o Group Policy installation/maintenance
o Software Distribution
o Workstation management/installation Red Hat Linux Operating Systems
o Networking, as in Routers, Switches, and Firewalls
o RHEL-7/ RHEL-8 or newer
o Domain Controllers
o ACAS (Security Scanning)
o Endpoint Security Solution (ESS) / Trellix
o Networking
o Exchange Server
Both written and verbal communications skills are required
Must be able to work well in a team environment
Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
Must have a Security+ certification or be able to acquire within 6 months of starting
Must have an Operating System or equivalent certification like MCSA, MCSE or MCITP or be able to acquire within 6 months of starting
· · Approximately 50% travel required / Must have Passport or ability to obtain one to travel internationally
Required Skills and/or Experience:
Experience implementing multi-tenant Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) Kubernetes to support deployment of tenant Open Container Initiative (OCI)-compliant applications
Experience integrating container registry systems (e.g. Harbor, ECR, ACR, Sonotype) with container push/pull systems (e.g. Carvel Tools, Podman, Docker), container security (e.g. Trivy) and Kubernetes management (e.g. vCF Kubernetes, Tanzu Kubernetes Grid, OpenShift)
Tanzu or NXS experience
Experience with virtualization backup technologies and physical backup hardware
Degree Requirements:
Broadcom vCloud Foundation (vCF) vSphere, NSX, and vCF Kubernetes
Podman to vCF integration experience
HELM and Terraform experience
Windows 2019 Microsoft Servers VMware Administration
VMware Horizon
Obtain Windows 2019 or greater and Red Hat Linux Training Certifications
Performing Windows and RHEL administration, configuration, and installation efforts
Working with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) on a daily basis
Working with the Windows registry, directory structure, and Group Policy
Degree: BSCS, BSCE, BSEE, or BS IT
Must be a US Citizen
A secret security clearance
