Travel PICU Registered Nurse - $1,708 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - PICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (1900-0700) • 13-week contract assignment • No call requirements • Required to work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule • Required certifications: PALS, BLS, ACLS • Previous PICU experience required with ventilators and drips • NICU experience preferred • 1-2 years PICU experience preferred • Patient ratios: 2 ICU patients to 1 RN, 1 ICU/2 IMC to 1 RN, or 1 ICU and 2 MS to 1 RN • Work with Alaris IV pumps and ventilators • EMR system: Meditech • Care for patients with respiratory illnesses, HFNC, seizure monitoring, and variety of PICU diagnoses • Dress code: Navy scrubs required, no artificial nails permitted • Must be a team player with positive attitude and openness to feedback Facility: This healthcare facility features a 6-bed Pediatric ICU located within a dedicated Children's Hospital. The unit maintains an outstanding safety record, being CLABSI/CAUTI free since 2014. The facility operates with a smaller unit structure that promotes excellent teamwork and camaraderie among all staff including RNs, respiratory therapists, ancillary support, and physicians. The PICU provides comprehensive pediatric critical care services with modern equipment and technology, though it does not offer endocrine services, ECMO, or trauma services (level 4 trauma).
