The MEP Systems Manager will manage the overall MEP preconstruction and procurement, budget, quality, safety, engineering, coordination, scheduling, installation, commissioning and close-out processes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for full project ownership including but not limited to:Assist with defining the scope of work for MEP and evaluating bidsCreate detailed CPM schedules for all MEP installation activitiesAssist with MEP design development if assigned to a Design Build projectCoordinate and execute the RFI, Submittal, and Document Review and Control processesDevelop the MEP schedule of values, review monthly invoices, and manage MEP budget.Manage the overall commissioning processCreate project specific MEP quality plans and verify their proper executionPerform site inspections for MEP compliance with contract documentsNegotiate pricing and change orders with MEP subcontractorsCoordinate MEP field activities with the Superintendent and project team.Provide MEP oversight relative to the BIM processBe comfortable managing multiple projects at varying stages within a lifecycle.Supervise, develop and mentor MEP Project Engineers, if applicable.Foster and cultivate a team culture that aligns with Hourigan’s mission and values.Participate in the Hourigan Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) by committing to safe work practices, raising concerns, attending and applying safety and health training, and eliminating hazards within your capability and control and the help of safety staff.Qualifications and Experience:B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.8+ years of industry experienceLEED certifications is preferred.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.Experience with MS Project, Textura, CMiC, and Bluebeam preferred.Previous experience managing employees preferred.Approach every responsibility and interaction with a high level of integrity, fairness, care, and concernLead forward by seeing challenges as a way to create new possibilities and solutionsConsistently deliver beyond expectations to provide exceptional resultsSome periodic travel may be required.We offer our full-time employees a competitive benefits package including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, and life insurances, short-term and long-term disability, 401k employer match, and paid time off.The summary of essential duties and responsibilities listed above is not intended to cover all possible job duties and is subject to change at our discretion.Hourigan is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
