This contract role offers a meaningful opportunity to care for surgical patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics to geriatrics, with a focus on assessment, clinical skills, safety, and patient satisfaction.Role Highlights:Schedule/Hours: Details provided during interview.Provide thorough, systematic assessments for perioperative patients, applying in-depth knowledge of growth and development stages from pediatric to geriatric populations.Demonstrate proficient clinical skills, delivering appropriate, direct patient care in alignment with unit standards and actively supporting a collaborative team environment.Utilize and maintain emergency equipment, following established protocols for prompt and effective response.Document comprehensively and accurately, assuming primary responsibility for tracking patient progress and nursing care according to documentation guidelines.Maintain a high degree of professionalism, consistently adhering to policies and procedures, and identifying opportunities for professional development.Respond to patients, families, and colleagues with courtesy and respect, fostering a patient-centered atmosphere and upholding HIPAA confidentiality standards.Consistently implement National Patient Safety Goals, utilizing Universal Protocol and precise patient identification methods.Apply safe patient-transfer techniques and proper body mechanics for both patients and staff.Individualize care for surgical patients, taking into account procedure type, diagnosis, and anesthesia needs, while monitoring patient response and comprehension.Direct and prioritize patient care as part of the perioperative team, staying vigilant to changing needs and conditions.Proactively educate patients and families regarding procedures and discharge instructions, ensuring understanding and participation.Support the completion of Pre Admission Testing, evaluating orders for appropriateness and omissions based on patient status and surgical requirements.Qualifications:Current RN licenseProven experience in the operating room settingSound assessment and clinical decision-making skillsCommitment to professional growth and patient-centered carePhysical ability to meet Occupational Safety requirementsIf you thrive in fast-paced surgical environments and have a passion for expert, patient-focused care, apply today to take the next step in your nursing journey.Compensation for this position ranges from $26.59 to $50.00.
