Test Engineer

DPP is seeking a Test Engineer II for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace & Defense industry.Work location: Onsite in Vandalia, OhioSchedule: 7:30 am-4:30 pm or 8:00 am-5:00 pm; M-FDuration: 12 monthsTerm: W2 contractWork authorization: Candidates must be eligible to earn a Secret US security clearance.Position summary:As a Test Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems.You'll develop complex test plans and procedures for a variety of systems to ensure the verification and validation of all product requirements. You will also be involved with the execution of the tests using top industry tools.As a cross functional engineer, you'll test system and component level new products and develop new test processes throughout the product lifecycle.Required: Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practicesFamiliarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teamsKnowledge of requirements management, system design, and systems integrationExposure to planning, conducting and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activitiesPreferred: Experience with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies to include manual and automated testingAbility to prepare complex and professional test plans, test procedures, and test reports in order to demonstrate compliance to system requirementsFamiliarity with Product and Quality Assurance principles and experienced in generation and disposition of product non-conformancesExperience performing certification testing for various certification organizations (i.e. FAA, NASA, DoD)Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniquesBackground in the Aerospace and Defense IndustryRequired education/equivalency: Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or other related discipline and typically 2 or more years of experienceWork environment:Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements: Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps. Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity. Rarely lifting or carrying up to 25 lbs.Working Conditions: Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.) Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials.
