Lead Bartender

Lead Bartender Bar Roma – Chicago, IL Bar Roma is seeking a Lead Bartender to help guide and develop our beverage program as we continue to grow. This role is ideal for an experienced bartender ready to step into a leadership position, with involvement in ordering, inventory, cocktail and wine list development, and team training. Responsibilities: Lead bar shifts and uphold high-quality, consistent service standards Assist with beverage ordering, inventory management, and maintaining accurate pars Support cocktail development and seasonal menu updates Contribute to the ongoing development of the wine program Train, mentor, and support bartenders and hybrid team members Maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficient bar prep systems Close the restaurant 1–2 nights per week Complete and submit end-of-day (EOD) reports on closing nights What We’re Looking For: Strong bartending experience in a high-volume environment Solid knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, and wine Interest in menu development and beverage costing Leadership mindset with the ability to train and support others Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented Availability for evenings, weekends, and peak service periods Why Join Us: Opportunity to grow into a key leadership role within the restaurant Direct involvement in shaping the beverage program Collaborative environment with room for creativity and input More detail about Bar Roma, please visit
