Prototype Build Coordinator
Responsibilities include but are not limited too:• Adjust timing for builds based on part and Hoist availability.• Review PDB Master BOM's from EBOM• Prioritize builds through 2970 Garages.• Create build Work Orders for all ground up builds, updates,• Create Build Issue Logs to communicate to Engineers daily issues• Create Misc. parts pull requests based on engineering needs• Chair weekly build issue and program build planning meetings• Create Shippers, Gate passes, move requests, etc. for all material movement inside and outside of company.• Recommend best practice for Issue ResolutionKey Requirements:• Prior mechanic experience (dealership or independent)• Significant hands on automotive repair experience beyond basic maintenance (3 years of either work experience in a dealership, automotive repair, or personal experience noted on the supplier notes or cover letter)• Strong understanding of vehicle components (brakes, suspension, cradles, etc.)Additional Skills:• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work with diverse mechanic personalities• Highly organized; able to manage multi million dollar prototype builds• Comfortable with Microsoft tools; diagnostic experience is a plus• Ability to learn Bill of Materials (BOM) processes on the jobEducation:• High school diploma needed• No engineering degree required• Mechanic certifications are a plus• Valid driver's license required• Driving record will be checkedShift, Location & Duration:• Location: Auburn Hills• Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (1st shift)• Overtime: Available but not mandatory• Duration: Long term contract
