Job Description – Heavy Equipment Operator / Pipe Layer / ForemanSwift Underground, LLC Pay: $30–$40 per hour (DOE)Swift Underground, LLC is seeking motivated, experienced individuals who can operate heavy equipment, install underground utilities, and take on foreman-level responsibilities in the field. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in quality work, leads by example, and thrives in a fast‐paced construction environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, loaders, and skid steers with precision and safetyLay and install underground utilities including water, sewer, storm drain, and conduitRead and interpret plans, grades, and job specificationsPerform trenching, shoring, backfilling, and compaction to required standardsLead and coordinate a crew to ensure efficient workflow and high‐quality workmanshipCommunicate with project managers, inspectors, and other team membersMaintain a safe jobsite and enforce company safety policiesPerform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenanceTroubleshoot issues in the field and provide solutions to keep the project movingQualificationsProven experience operating heavy equipment in underground utility constructionStrong knowledge of pipe installation methods and grade checkingAbility to lead a crew and manage daily jobsite activitiesUnderstanding of OSHA safety requirementsAbility to work outdoors in varying conditionsReliable transportation and strong work ethicCDL is a plus but not requiredCompensation$30–$40 per hour, depending on experience and skill levelOpportunities for overtime and advancementAbout Swift Underground, LLCSwift Underground, LLC is a growing underground utility contractor committed to quality, safety, and professionalism.
