Quality Assurance Testing Internship
Remote | Unpaid Internship | 3–6 Months | 15–20 hrs/week | Master’s Degree RequiredTHIS IS NOT A SUMMER INTERNSHIP, for immediate hire onlyAbout the InternshipWe are seeking a smart, highly detail-oriented intern to help build and improve front-end product experiences using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude CLI.This is not a traditional QA internship, and it is not a traditional software engineering internship. In this role, you will use AI to review code, identify issues, fix bugs, improve front-end behavior, and build user-facing product features. You will not be expected to manually code everything from scratch. Instead, you will guide AI tools to help you move quickly through front-end development, bug fixing, code review, and UX improvement tasks. The strongest candidates for this role tend to think more like QA, product, and UX-minded builders than traditional engineers. That means you naturally notice when something feels off in the user experience, when state handling is broken, when edge cases were missed, when data behavior is incomplete, or when an interaction does not behave the way a real application should. This role is ideal for someone who understands how software is supposed to behave on the front end and can use AI tools to turn that judgment into fast, high-quality implementation. What This Role Actually IsThis is a front-end quality and implementation role powered by AI.You may use AI tools to:review front-end codeidentify UX and interaction issuesfix bugs directly instead of just reporting themimprove state handling and front-end behaviorbuild or refine front-end featuresvalidate acceptance criteria and expected user flowsimprove incomplete or poorly behaving interfacessupport lightweight backend bug fixing and code review when neededThis is not a role where your main job is to manually write bug tickets and hand them off to engineers.Instead, your job is to use AI tools to find problems, understand problems, and fix problems fast. Why QA Experience Matters in This RoleMost AI-assisted front-end work still requires someone with good judgment. The hard part is not always generating code. The hard part is knowing:how the application should behavewhat states need to be handledwhat edge cases were missedwhat data limitations affect the UIwhat interactions feel broken, incomplete, confusing, or low qualitywhat a polished user experience should actually look likeThat is why candidates with backgrounds in QA, product management, UX, design systems, front-end testing, user stories, or acceptance criteria are a major plus. What You’ll Work OnInterns will work on a mix of front-end implementation, quality improvement, and AI-assisted development tasks such as:using Claude CLI and similar AI tools to build front-end featuresreviewing existing front-end code and improving weak implementationsfixing UI bugs and broken interaction flows using AIvalidating screens against expected product behaviorimproving state management, loading states, empty states, error states, and edge-case handlingtranslating user stories, product requirements, and acceptance criteria into working front-end behavioridentifying incomplete UX patterns and fixing them directlyperforming AI-assisted code reviewshelping refine front-end experiences so they behave like polished real productsoccasionally using AI to review or fix simple backend issues when neededKey ResponsibilitiesUse AI tools such as Claude CLI to build and improve front-end product featuresReview existing UI implementations and identify issues in behavior, logic, or UXFix bugs directly using AI instead of only documenting themEvaluate front-end experiences through a QA-minded lensImprove state management, component behavior, user interactions, and edge-case handlingUse user stories, product requirements, and acceptance criteria to guide implementation decisionsValidate whether an interface behaves correctly across realistic usage scenariosPerform AI-assisted code reviews and implementation refinementsCollaborate with leadership to improve front-end quality and product behaviorDocument findings, patterns, and improvements when neededRequired Qualifications1–2 years of professional QA experience strongly preferredQA bootcamp certificate or QA certification strongly preferredExperience testing websites, web apps, or software productsStrong understanding of user flows, edge cases, front-end behavior, and product qualityExperience with user stories, acceptance criteria, or product requirements is a major plusProduct, UX, or design background is a MAJOR plusComfortable using AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Claude CLI for bug finding, code review, debugging, and implementationStrong written EnglishMust be available for a 100% remote internship, 15–20 hours per week, and able to start immediatelyYou should have:strong attention to detailstrong product judgmentstrong front-end quality instinctsthe ability to recognize broken behavior, weak UX, and missing edge casescomfort using AI tools to speed up technical workthe ability to work from documentation, stories, and requirementsa mindset focused on fixing problems, not just reporting themStrongly PreferredExperience in any of the following is a major plus:QA bootcamp certificate or QA certificationExperience using Claude CLI or similar AI-assisted coding toolsExperience with bug triage, regression testing, or exploratory testingExperience reviewing front-end behavior and identifying weak UXExperience with user stories and acceptance criteriaProduct management, UX, or design backgroundExperience using AI to help review code, fix bugs, or improve front-end behaviorBasic familiarity with front-end concepts such as component behavior, state changes, loading states, empty states, error states, and data limitationsExperience working in startups, agile teams, or fast iteration environmentsWho Will Do Well in This RoleThis role is a strong fit for someone who:thinks critically about how interfaces should behavenotices when UX is awkward, incomplete, or brokenunderstands states, flows, edge cases, and interaction logiccan use AI tools to move from issue to solution quicklyis smarter than the average engineer when it comes to front-end behavior and product qualitywants hands-on experience building real software with AI-assisted workflowsWhat You Will GainThis internship provides hands-on experience in a new kind of software role: using AI tools to build, review, fix, and improve production-facing software quickly. You will gain experience with:AI-assisted front-end developmentClaude CLI workflowsAI-assisted code review and bug fixingproduct-minded QA thinkingUX-focused implementation improvementworking from stories, requirements, and acceptance criteriashipping faster with AI development workflowsInternship DetailsDuration: 3–6 monthsCommitment: 15–20 hours per weekLocation: 100% remoteCompensation: Unpaid internshipThis internship is designed for graduate-level candidates who want real-world experience using AI to build and improve software, especially on the front end.
