Shop Mechanic

Headquartered in Tampa, Florida, with over 160 locations worldwide, our team of over 3,500 employees excels in offering a multitude of mission-critical services.Key Responsibilities* Perform DOT annual inspections and preventative maintenance on chemical tanker trailers* Diagnose and repair air brake systems, ABS systems, and suspension components* Inspect and repair tanker barrel integrity, baffles, weld seams, and structural components* Service and repair valves, manways, gaskets, vapor recovery systems, and discharge systems* Perform pressure/vacuum testing and leak detection* Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems (if equipped)* Conduct aluminum and stainless-steel welding/fabrication as needed* Maintain proper documentation of inspections and repairs* Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and hazmat regulations* Maintain safe shop practices and follow OSHA guidelinesRequired Qualifications* 3+ years of heavy-duty trailer or tanker mechanic experience preferred* Knowledge of DOT tanker requirements and hazmat regulations* Experience working on chemical or food-grade tankers strongly preferred* Welding experience (TIG/MIG preferred for stainless/aluminum)* Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills* Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in shop/outdoor environments* Valid drivers license (CDL preferred)DCI Benefits:Medical, dental and vision Insurance401(k) with generous employer matchPaid time off, including 10 paid holidaysOptional health savings account & flexible spending accountLife insuranceEmployee assistance programParental leaveReferral programTuition reimbursement
