Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to hire a DevOps Engineer (with expertise in Automation & Observability) to support mission-critical banking applications. This is a 12-18+ month contract opportunity with a preference for 2 days on-site in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.What You'll Be Doing:Partner with offshore engineering teams to drive delivery of DevOps and resiliency initiatives, serving as the onshore point of coordination and accountabilityDesign, build, and standardize GitLab CI/CD pipelines across multiple lines of business to improve consistency, scalability, and release velocityDevelop and maintain observability solutions using tools like Kibana and Dynatrace, including dashboards, linking dashboards, alerting, and cross-platform visibilityCreate unified monitoring views that provide actionable insights across systems, applications, and business unitsIdentify and implement automation opportunities leveraging vendor and custom APIs to streamline workflows and reduce manual effortBuild and maintain reusable automation patterns using tools such as AnsibleCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, infrastructure, product) to improve system reliability, performance, and operational efficiencySupport continuous improvement of DevOps practices, resiliency strategies, and operational standardsWhat You'll Need to Have:Proven experience in a DevOps or Platform Engineering role within complex, enterprise environmentsStrong hands‐on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including design, implementation, and optimizationExperience with observability and monitoring tools such as Kibana, Dynatrace, or similar platformsSolid understanding of automation frameworks and scripting, with experience leveraging APIs and tools like AnsibleExperience working with distributed/offshore teams, with the ability to drive alignment and execution across time zonesStrong understanding of system resiliency, monitoring, and alerting best practicesAbility to think in terms of scalable, reusable solutions rather than one-off fixesExcellent communication skills with the ability to interface across technical and non-technical stakeholdersPay Range: $70-$74/hrQuestions about any of our jobs?
