Apply via Dice today!Role SummaryThe Business Analyst supports system change requests and design documentation for the IT organization, with a strong and deliberate focus on Guidewire BillingCenter. This role works closely with business stakeholders, developers, architects, and QA teams to deliver enhancements and new functionality across the billing platform. This team is specifically seeking candidates with extensive, hands‑on Guidewire BillingCenter experience, ideally with recent involvement in configuration work. Previous attempts to onboard candidates without deep Guidewire experience have resulted in misalignment at the BA II level, so strong, practical BillingCenter exposure is essential for success in this role. That said, the team is also open to career‑progression candidates (e.g., manual QA engineers or developers) only if they already have Guidewire experience and have a clear, long‑term interest in Business Analysis. This is a true BA role, not a hybrid or stepping stone into development or QA.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a subject matter expert on Guidewire BillingCenterPartner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document system change requestsAssess system and process impacts of new requirements across integrated platformsCollaborate with solution architects and developers on system design and delivery approachProduce detailed documentation, including SRS, use cases, technical requirements, wireframes, and system flow diagramsGuide initiatives through the SDLC, ensuring proper documentation, development, testing, and deploymentClarify requirements prior to handoff to application delivery teamsSupport UAT sessions and collaborate with QA to ensure test coverage and accuracyWork with Operations to triage production issues before escalating to developmentAct as a liaison between business teams, development, QA, and production supportBuild deep functional knowledge of Guidewire systems and internal implementationsRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong, recent hands‑on experience with Guidewire BillingCenter (configuration and integrations)Target level: BA II / BA IIIBackgrounds such as QA or development are acceptable only when paired with Guidewire experience and a clear BA career focusStrong understanding of homeowners insurance; commercial property experience a plusProven ability to write detailed SRS, use cases, wireframes, and technical documentationExperience working in Agile environmentsHands‑on experience using Jira or similar defect‑tracking toolsComfortable working in cross‑functional, fast‑paced environmentsFamiliarity with HTML, XML, SOAP APIs, and UX design conceptsProficiency with Microsoft Office and browser development toolsStrong communication, analytical, and stakeholder‑management skillsTeam & EnvironmentFast‑paced environment with an ongoing investment in Guidewire BillingCenterSupporting both existing billing enhancements and new initiativesWorks across multiple teams and workstreams, including offshore resourcesReports into a BA ManagerImmediate need for a BillingCenter‑fluent BA II/III, with additional BA hires planned
